What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Morris-Jenkins?
Overview
You’ve got a talent for persuading people. You consider yourself thick-skinned and confident!
How would you like to be our newest Dispatcher making $44,000-$50,000/year?
Your Role
As a Dispatcher:
- This is more than your normal dispatching job. You’ll dispatch service technicians. You’ll analyze all the information about the customer orders, order status, and assignments, and you’ll assign the right technician to each job to make sure the customer is taken care of!
- You’ll build relationships with service techs. Our techs need to know and trust you! After all, you’re the one assigning them to different customers.
- You’ll address customer concerns and help provide resolutions. When someone calls us out for service, they’re likely stressed about their home’s heating, cooling, or plumbing problems. You’re good at sympathizing and helping out!
- You’ll process customer orders/changes, respond to inquiries, follow scripts to overcome objections and capture appointments, and provide feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
- You’ll maximize capacity of the scheduling board by scheduling part installs, moving calls up when we’re running ahead of schedule, etc. Being a dispatcher is like playing a big game of chess! You’re good at strategizing and moving pieces into the right time slots on a schedule so we can help the most people possible in the best way possible!
Responsibilities
Other Highlights of the Job
- No two days are the same! If you’re tired of working somewhere that bores you, this is the job for you! Every day will come with new calls and new challenges, and you’ll get a chance to be the master of it all! Think about how accomplished you’ll feel when you’ve paired the perfect tech up with the perfect call in the perfect timing. It’s like winning a game!
- Our dispatch team keeps busy, but they’re the ones that work the true magic! When people in the Carolinas are having the worst day ever and everything seems wrong with their heating, cooling, plumbing, or electrical, dispatch makes sure they’re taken care of by the perfect technician ASAP. Thankfully, you’re good at making quick and strategic judgment calls.
- You will be in training from 8:30AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday.
- Once you are out of training, we are hiring for either Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday from 9:00AM-7:30PM on location, with rotating holidays.
