Your purpose:
The Administrative Assistant position provides professional support to ensure efficient operations of the office to ensure that all interactions between the organization and others are positive and productive.

Essential Functions:
- Maintain, sort and distribute correspondence, in a sensitive and confidential manner.
- Provide support to managers, employees, and visitors professionally and efficiently.
- Answer and distribute phone calls to the appropriate individual.
- Organize and schedule meetings and appointments.
- Maintain contact lists.
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports and meeting minutes.
- Develop and maintain a filing system.
- Maintain office supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verify receipt of supplies.
- Provide information and support to visitors by answering questions and requests.
- Ensure operation of office equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques

Work Environment:
While performing this job's duties, the employee will be mainly in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Position may require occasional visits to plant floor that is subject to vibration, equipment noise leading to a loud environment and cleaning solvents.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen, perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, sit for extended periods of time, and lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies. Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, fingers, with the ability to feel and reach with hands and arms will also be required.
- Continuous (6 or more hours per day) working at a computer terminal.
- Continuous (6 or more hours per day) talking and repetitive motion, hand/wrist movement.
- Frequent (1 to 3 hours per day) standing and walking.
- Good eyesight, normal hearing.
- Ability to move and lift objects, up to 40 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Typically works standard business days and hours. Flexible to attend meetings or important functions that may occur during off hours and weekends to meet organizational initiatives.
Travel: Should not be required
Required Education and Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write English.
- 3 or more years of administrative experience.
- Strong computer skills in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort with database usage and management.
- Customer service background desired.
- Independent/self-starter.
- Ability to stay organized and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to react quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Effective communication skills via email, phone and in person.
- Diligent follow through.
