The Packer position (Operator Apprentice) position is an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday working in our state of the art, climate controlled facility, with the opportunity for voluntary overtime and, at times, may require overtime beyond the normal workday. Available shifts are on 1st Shift (6 : 30am-2 : 30pm) and 3rd Shift (10 : 30pm-6 : 30am). As a Packer (Operator Apprentice), you will work in supporting the machine operators by supplying the production lines, processing off coming products, and keeping the work environment organized and clean at optimum speeds in a team atmosphere. Packers may also receive Machine Operation training to further their progression as Operator Apprentices. Morris Packaging provides on-site training and certifications for machine operation, to support your success.
Job duties Include :
- Performing entry level operation of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Inspecting product for quality
- Packing finished goods in boxes according to customer specifications.
- Process product coming off of the production lines and placing it in correct areas.
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
- Comply with Safe Quality Food and Safety standards by maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Baler operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
