The Process Engineer is an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday working in our state of the art, climate-controlled facility, with the opportunity for voluntary overtime and, at times, may require overtime beyond the normal workday. As a Process Engineer, you will monitor manufacturing operations to improve productivity and efficiency. This includes testing and monitoring equipment, updating current system processes, creating standard operating procedures and safety protocols, and conducting risk assessments.
Job Duties Include:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be primarily in our climate-controlled facility. The plant floor is subject to vibration and equipment noise leading to a loud environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and might also be exposed to outside conditions, tight spaces, cleaning solvents and heights. There is a moderate to high demand for tight deadlines. This position will experience moderate interruption in workflow, starting and stopping for product changeovers.

Job Duties Include:
- Study existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Design and Implement solutions such as workflow optimization, lean manufacturing techniques, and time studies.
- Analyze labor requirements, design workstations, and implement methods to improve employee productivity.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities within production processes and implement strategies to reduce waste and overhead.
- Lead and manage projects related to process improvement initiatives.
- Investigate shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current processes and take ownership in change initiatives.
- Establish norms and standards for company performance.
- Collaborate with other managers and employees to enhance productivity and staff satisfaction.
- Train, mentor and guide team members in new processes and standards.
- Stay up to date with developments in management and process optimization.
- Ensure open communication throughout the organization by keeping management informed of project status and ensuring coordination on activities.

Required Education and Experience:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Lean Manufacturing Sigma Six Black Belt Certification with direct manufacturing experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
