Residential Team Lead
New Gloucester, ME | Full-Time | Leadership Opportunity in Adult Residential Services

Are you a seasoned Direct Support Professional (DSP) with a passion for person-centered care and team leadership? Morrison Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Residential Team Lead to join our Adult Residential Services team in New Gloucester, ME.
In this dynamic leadership role, you'll serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and respect. You’ll help oversee the daily operations of the home while supporting the growth and development of both residents and staff—reflecting the mission and values that guide Morrison Center's commitment to excellence in care.
Schedule
Primarily weekday hours, with occasional evening and weekend shifts. Participation in the on-call rotation is required.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Leadership & Development
- Inspire and support DSP staff through modeling best practices and person-centered care.
- Facilitate in-house orientation and hands-on training for new staff.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching; assist with performance documentation alongside the Program Director or Coordinator.
Direct Care & Operational Support
- Deliver direct care services as scheduled or to cover open shifts.
- Safely administer medications in accordance with CRMA guidelines.
- Assist with household routines, documentation, and scheduling tasks.
Program Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate appointments, assessments, and resident treatment plans.
- Oversee completion of routine duties: fire drills, menu planning, shopping, documentation, and monthly reports.
- Review EMR documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance, verifying alignment with payroll records.
- Manage inventory and medication ordering for the residence.
- ️ Safety & Regulatory Responsibilities
- Document and follow up on reportable events in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Understand and contribute to the Person-Centered Planning (PCP) process and related documentation.
- Promote a safe and compliant living environment through adherence to agency and state guidelines.
Administrative Support
- Support staffing needs and schedule management, with awareness of efficiency and billing metrics.
- Serve as part of the on-call leadership team to respond to staff and emergency needs.
- Operate agency vehicles to assist with resident transportation and other programmatic tasks.
✅ Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a DSP.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Valid Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.
Required Certifications (or ability to obtain):
- CPR/First Aid
- DSP Certification
- CRMA
- Crisis Intervention (MANDT or equivalent)
