We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair and be proficient in using various tools and techniques to restore vehicles to their original condition. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs on damaged vehicles, including frame straightening, panel replacement, and refinishing.
- Utilize power tools and equipment for tasks such as welding, soldering, and fabricating parts as needed.
- Assess vehicle damage and determine the necessary repairs while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Work with sheet metal to repair or replace damaged sections of vehicles.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Conduct final inspections of repaired vehicles to ensure they meet dealership standards before returning them to customers.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of vehicle parts as required during the repair process.
Requirements
- Experience in auto body repair or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools.
- Ability to fabricate parts and perform repairs on various vehicle makes and models.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during repairs.
- A valid driver's license is required for test driving vehicles post-repair.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
