Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by monitoring their health and reporting any changes.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients in maintaining their dignity and independence while respecting their rights.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding client needs.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures related to client care and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
- Strong skills in direct support, assisting with daily activities, and meal preparation.
- Knowledge of resident rights and home community care practices is beneficial.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques is a plus but not required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
