Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of clients by maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
- Support residents in understanding their rights and advocating for their needs.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility needs, including lifting or transferring clients as necessary.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to improve caregiving skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in personal care or home health assistance is preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to upholding them.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
- CPR certification is required; additional certifications are a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other special needs is beneficial.
- Background in long-term care or senior care settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or assisting clients with mobility.
