What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic/CDL Driver position at Morrison Industries LLC?
Morrison Industrial Equipment is looking for CDL Licensed Mechanics in our Kalamazoo branch located 3510 Miller Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49001-4152. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic with a Commercial Driver’s License to join our team. As a CDL Licensed Technician, you will primarily perform mechanic work while also driving as needed.
Monday-Friday, first shift hours, and works around 40 hours a week with opportunity for overtime.
Our CDL Licensed Technicians Typically:
Have a Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a technician or mechanic is preferred.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic needs of the job.
Work Independently with Minimum Supervision.
Value the Importance of Safety.
Ability to lift 80 pounds due to Lift and Move Functions.
Essential Functions:
Technician Work:
Diagnose and Repair Equipment Breakdowns
Communicating Effectively any Needed Repairs with Customers
Complete Work Orders in a Timely Manner
Coordinate with Parts and Service Department Daily
Comply with all Safety Procedures within Morrison’s Guidelines
Consistently and Reliably attend Shift Ready to Work when Scheduled
Perform any Other Duties as Assigned
Driving Responsibilities:
Keep an Accurate Detailed Record of Delivery and Pickup
Monitor Truck Maintenance
Maintain Accurate Inventory of Packages and Materials
Load and Unload Vehicle According to Time Allotted
Administrative Tasks such as Printing Paperwork, Planning Routes, Managing Emails
Assist with Training
Consistently and Reliably attend Shift Ready to Work when Scheduled
Perform any Other Duties as Assigned
