Engineer C - The Saint Paul Hotel

Under general supervision, this position supports the engineering team, performing beginning to intermediate level work cleaning and maintaining grounds and building, including routine maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning, snow and ice removal, and general upkeep.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Effectively and efficiently completes assigned work orders and guest room punch checklists. within allocated time frames and to hotel standards.
• Cleans and organizes work area and dock area daily. Safely operates, maintains, and stores department tools and equipment.
• Routine inspection and maintenance of hotel vehicles, including vehicle cleaning and maintaining par levels of fluids and tire pressure.
• Assists Gardener as needed with various duties including flowers, trees, shrubs, bulbs, mulch and soil, trimming trees, installing and removing outdoor lighting and decorations.
• Safely and effectively operates equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, tiller, lift, and snow removal equipment, making suggestions for repair.
• Assists guests and employees as needed, including adjusting room temperatures, vehicle service (e.g., dead battery, flat tire, locked out), and moving furniture and equipment.
• Accurately and efficiently makes keys as requested by hotel management.
• Run errands as needed, driving company vehicles, to drop off and pick up items such as supplies, equipment, and furnishings. Secure and drive banquet trucks as needed and assigned.
• Complies with local, state, and national regulations pertaining to safety and security procedures, including rooftop safety policies and procedures.
• Completes all other duties as assigned.
