Job Summary
The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the general cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, assigned grounds, storage areas, and associated equipment. This individual will serve as the lead in the dish room and be accountable for ensuring that all food safety guidelines are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming stock for accuracy and quality, utilizing vendors' invoices and departmental receiving orders.
- Foster a culture of compliance with food safety regulations by following established procedures and protocols.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when necessary and participate in assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure storage areas, coolers, and freezers remain organized and well-maintained.
- Unpack supplies, date, and store all stock in designated storage areas, rotating inventory using the first-in/first-out principle to guarantee freshness.
- Deliver equipment, food items, and supplies to various locations via box truck.
- Participate in performing inventory and assist with minor repairs as needed.
- Support event setups and help train staff in dish room operations, serving as a leader in this area when not receiving.
