Position Reports to: Senior Pastor & Head of Staff

Position Classification: Part Time Staff / Salaried (3.5-4.5 hours per week)

Salary: $18-$22 per hour

Position Summary:

The Nursery Coordinators will provide care for children from birth to age 4, each Sunday in our church nursery between 9:15 and 11:45 AM. The Coordinators are responsible for the care and safety of the children in the Nursery Room. This role involves engaging with the children through activities such as reading, playing, crafting, and singing. The position requires 2.5 hours on Sunday mornings and if needed, an additional 1-2 hours during the week for recruiting volunteers to assist in the Nursery each Sunday. A list of volunteers will be provided. The Coordinators will report to the Senior Pastor & Head of Staff. The position requires Pennsylvania Child Safety Clearances. Use of cell phones will not be permitted during working hours.

Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Welcome, care for, and ensure safety for children from birth to age 4.
• Learning names of children and families.
• Sign-in children in attendance along with any parental special instructions.
• Recruit and train one volunteer each week to assist in the nursery, ensuring compliance with the Safe Child Policy of having two adults present.
• Be present in the nursery room from 9:15 until 11:45 AM each Sunday from Rally Day (September) through Memorial Day (May). From Memorial Day through the end of August, the Coordinator will be present from 10:15 to 11:45 AM.
• With advance notice, ensure childcare is provided for special occasions/services, either by being present or arranging for two volunteers if unavailable.
• Resolve last-minute coverage cancellations.

Requirements:

• Genuine love for Children.
• Experience working with children (Birth to 4 years).
• Pennsylvania Child Safety Clearances (paid for by employer).
• Non-smoker.
• Minimum age: 18
• Responsible, dependable, punctual.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR training
• First Aid Training
• Early Childhood Development Coursework
• Special Needs Care

Schedule:

• Weekend availability

Work Location: On-site in Morrisville, PA 19067; Work from home to recruit volunteers.
