Lead Machinist

Job Type Full-time Description

MORryde is currently seeking individuals to join our machining centers! We have current needs for both experienced machinists and those who are ready to be trained! The ideal candidates will be competent in operating CNC Mills and Lathes and possess the leadership skills to further our team’s success! They will be responsible for setting up, calibrating, controlling, and adjusting machines while ensuring team members are adequately trained in all aspects of the machining department.

Hours :

  • 1st Shift, 5am – 1pm
  • 2nd Shift, 1pm – 9pm – Earn a $5 / hour Shift premium!

Requirements

  • Ability to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills
  • Skilled use of measurement equipment
  • Ability to interpret and read manufacturing prints
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Established Leadership skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Team player mentality
  • Ability to work with a diverse staff

    • Responsibilities Include

  • Confirm all CNC machines are fully setup to produce high quality parts
  • Ensure the proper training and mentoring of team members
  • Meet all production schedules and deadlines
  • Effectively communicate, coach, and lead the entire team of CNC Machinists in the plant
  • Provide feedback and updates to Management on production metrics and goals
  • Diagnose tool wear patterns and determine causes
  • Provide input into product optimization
  • Perform open bench quality inspections
