Description
MORryde is an established and rapidly growing industry leader in suspension systems, custom metal fabrication and chassis modifications and we are seeking an experienced Fixture Builder to join our team! This is a 1st shift position so the candidate must be able to work Monday through Friday from 5 : 00am until 1 : 00pm, overtime might be needed at times.
A Welding Fixture Builder will assemble a variety of standard and non-standard weld fixtures and related tooling. This individual will design, build, and maintain fixtures. You must have the ability to read, interpret, and understand product prints, identify critical dimensions and use various measuring tools. As this is a hands-on position, we are seeking a team member with production experience who is knowledgeable in welding, machining, materials, and quality control.
In this role you will also be in contact with a number of different team members, from engineering and supervision to welders and machine operators, so strong communication skills are a must. A large part of this role is to ensure welding fixtures function properly with complex angles and tolerances while determining methods and sequence of operations to be performed from tool design or part drawings. This individual will also take an active role in the design and creation of fixtures therefore being highly creative and a problem solver is vital to success in this role.
Requirements
- Skilled machining background – specifically mill and lathe operation
- Basic mathematical knowledge
- Welding knowledge preferred but not required
- Ability to read prints and identify critical dimensions
- Ability to use measuring tools
- Ability to lift at least 30lbs
