As a dynamic Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of critical power plant projects for a leading energy services company, providing effective leadership within a matrix organization. This role involves managing the full project lifecycle for large-scale utility projects, from initiation through to successful completion, ensuring seamless integration with key stakeholders and efficient management of resources.
- Leadership in Matrix Organizations: Guide cross-functional teams to success while fostering collaboration, commitment, and productivity. Drive the culture of high performance by actively removing barriers and ensuring efficient team dynamics.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Spearhead the Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Closing of projects. You will be responsible for defining the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), establishing cost baselines, and designing the Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS). Create comprehensive work plans, control risks, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Quality and Environmental Oversight: Lead the implementation and management of Quality and Environmental processes and procedures for all projects. Focus on achieving SPI and CPI performance indicators of less than 1.0, ensuring optimal project health.
- Stakeholder and Third-Party Management: Take the reins on managing third-party projects, including coordinating with other transmission customers and interconnecting customers to ensure smooth project delivery.

Ensure timely resolution of contract disputes related to costs, scope, and schedule, while measuring and monitoring project performance to align with established objectives.
- Execution & Completion: Take full responsibility for the successful execution and completion of the project, ensuring all targets are met while maintaining strong relationships with contractors, clients, and internal teams.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Experience: 5-10 years of hands-on experience in large-scale project management within the utility sector, particularly in power plant projects, Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro, or OSG.
- Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Professional Engineer License and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to efficiently manage project timelines, budgets, and reporting.
- Professional Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification preferred.
- Industry Expertise: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in relevant functional areas, particularly with a focus on power plants, substations, T&D, or related utilities.
