Site ManagerSummary of the Role
We are looking for a Site Manager with a strong understanding of how to run a site and manage people to join our team. Two project locations are available – Tennessee’s Old Hickory Dam and Arkansas’s Beaver Lake Dam.
The Site Manager will be on-site continually during project execution, directing work activities, overseeing equipment installation, and ensuring proper adherence to project specifications. Responsibilities also include compliance with safety procedures and initiating instructions for inspections, handling, assembly, and testing of equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Hiring and managing site labor and site subcontractors
- Managing labor hours allocated to the project
- Managing site costs and inventories
- Acting as the primary contact to union dispatchers when applicable
- Overseeing the supervision team
- Managing site schedules and providing feedback to project managers/schedulers as required
- Ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Preparing site logs using company tools and procedures
- Conducting daily toolbox meetings
- Completing punch-list items
- Managing customer relations on-site
- Handling claims and change orders while maintaining documentation of site conditions
- Adhering to project and company requirements related to the work site
- Assisting in controlling project costs, cost recovery (claims), administration, and execution
- Providing status updates on projects to in-office project managers
- Reporting issues and necessary resolutions to management
- Periodic reporting responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in turbine and generator field work
- Experience working on large, complex construction projects
- Proven experience with steel structures, welding, and masonry
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, quality plans, procedures, and general construction practices
- Leadership skills, effective communication, and ability to maintain client relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and standard office equipment
- Experience in claims management is a plus
- OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 Certification
- Contractors Construction Quality Management course Certification from Naval Facilities Engineering Command or Army Corps of Engineers
- Knowledge of OSHA and ISO Standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and contract requirements
- Ability to identify non-conformances and organize the work effectively
- Experience using LMS, QCS, and other site-related software
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Willing to travel and live in distant locations for extended periods
- Ability to work overtime as needed
