Business Litigation Attorney
Mortenson Taggart Adams LLP, a business litigation firm with multiple office in California, is seeking an experienced attorney in commercial litigation.
Role and Ideal Candidate Profile :
We are a busy firm and looking for an experienced candidate that can come in and immediately hit the ground running. We represent a variety of business, including Fortune 500 companies, mid-market business, franchise systems, high net worth individuals, and entrepreneurs. Although we run a busy litigation practice, we still pride ourselves on having a friendly, relaxed work environment.
The candidate will be joining a group in the firm that handles a variety of complex commercial litigation, including matters involving franchise and vertical distribution, trade secret, trademark and other soft IP, business torts, and industry specific regulations. The groups practice is national and will provide the candidate the opportunity to litigate nationwide. We pride ourselves in working to develop attorneys not only as trial attorneys, but also to understand the business aspect of building a practice.
The ideal candidate will have more than two years of experience in business litigation, have a general understanding of the discovery process, and experience with drafting sophisticated legal briefs before trial and appellate courts. Applicants must possess the highest degree of integrity, strong analytical and writing skills, but also a genuine desire to learn and participate in a collegial, team-oriented firm.
The attorney that joins the firm will receive a wide variety experience with our team of seasoned trial attorneys while working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties / Responsibilities (but not limited to) :
- Attend court hearings and handle oral arguments;
- Strong research and writing skills;
- Written discovery proficiency;
- Experienced both taking and defending depositions;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; and
- Good firm citizen.
