Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and physically able Erosion Control Crew Laborer/Culvert Crew Laborer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor, including loading and unloading materials, removing, filling, raking, compacting, and preparing the terrain.
- Install wattle, silt fence, and erosion control blankets using hand tools and assist with the installation of culverts and ditch work.
- Assist fellow crew members, perform site clean-up, and reload leftover materials after each task.
- Provide hand signals to operators and act as a spotter for equipment and/or vehicles.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physically able to walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work in inclement weather conditions, such as rain, heat, wind, and snow.
- Work long hours and weekends.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous construction experience is preferred but not required.
