Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join our Wind Group. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to work in a dynamic environment, and a high level of professionalism.
The Project Superintendent will be responsible for providing coordination, planning, and supervision to assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities in a particular area of discipline. They will develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement projects to ensure timely completion and budget compliance
- Coordinate with design engineers to resolve discrepancies and ensure constructability
- Develop and manage project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules
- Manage site logistics, including tool and equipment usage
- Collaborate with project partner superintendents
Qualifications
- Minimum ten years of construction experience with four of those years having supervisory experience
- Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for large wind projects
- Supervisory experience supervising several different disciplines
- Wind experience preferred
- Experience overseeing large self-perform projects, such as large wind farms
- Leadership experience training, coaching, and mentoring discipline superintendents
- Proficient with Planning and scheduling
- Strategic with planning the critical work for wind
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level
- Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Travel – 100% with rotations every month for 9 days
- Current driver's license
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or 10 years trade experience
