Job Summary
We seek a Development Intern to work closely with our development team on new opportunities across various asset classes. You will gain unique insight working alongside experienced professionals and contribute to complex financial modeling, valuations, underwriting, and capital raising.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing underwriting and evaluation support for multiple property types, including medical office, multifamily, hotel, industrial, and land asset classes.
- Preparing information memoranda and associated materials for potential investors and lenders.
- Conducting market research to identify trends, macro/microeconomic drivers, and demographics impacting real estate investment strategies.
- Supporting due diligence from pre-development through completion/disposition.
- Developing and implementing financial models to support credit analysis.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, or a related field.
- Junior or senior student.
- Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of finance concepts, including NOI returns, cash flow returns, internal rate of return, debt yields, valuation methods, and capital markets.
- Understanding of commercial real estate and financial products and services.
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
Additional Information
This is a full-time internship opportunity for 12 weeks, based out of our Minneapolis headquarters office. The hourly wage starts at $17.00, with higher wages for students in their sophomore year or above.
