We are seeking an experienced Planning and Scheduling Manager to join our Solar Group. This role requires strong interaction with various staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, with the ability to remain flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient while maintaining high professionalism and confidentiality.
The ideal candidate will perform non-routine planning and scheduling assignments that involve complex scheduling principles and techniques on large-scale projects. This includes management, leadership, and coordination of team members and processes to implement scheduling strategy on our projects. Key responsibilities include leading and coordinating site teams and trade partners in developing project schedules using common Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling programs on complex or multiple projects.
Other key tasks include supporting group leadership through monitoring and updating project schedules on multiple projects or larger projects. The candidate will also generate mitigation options and assist site management in formulating mitigation plans to correct scheduling problems on a project. Additionally, they will collaborate with Business Development on proposals, including leading successful project pursuit strategy regarding project schedule.
Requirements for this role include a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or an equivalent field, along with advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software. Strong plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills are also necessary, as well as the ability to identify concerns in document review.
Strong leadership and rapport-building skills are required for direct reports, other team members, and customers. Travel may be required based on operating group requirements.
