Job Description
This Project Operations Accountant role provides accounting, analysis, and financial support to one or more teams overseeing completion of a construction project. The successful candidate will serve as the key liaison from the Finance and Accounting department to the project team, reviewing construction contract requirements, processing receivables and payables, and conducting project cost analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction contract requirements for assigned projects (i.e., lump sum or smaller cost-plus)
- Utilize contract summary for daily work
- Perform budget allocations as required
- May provide assistance in complying with various other contract requirements, i.e., certified payroll reporting, minority participation reporting, or providing necessary information to maintain insurance for the project
- Assist in tracking subcontractor lien waivers if necessary
This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Email, and Calendar systems, and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP accounting applications is also desirable.
