One of the largest public companies in Virginia is looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner. In this role, you will partner with and deliver support to Corporate business leaders on employee engagement, coaching and development, talent acquisition, performance management, training, and policy/benefits management. You to build connections and relationships with senior leaders and confirm alignment on business priorities. You will drive and support key strategic HR and business initiatives by building positive employee relations, implementing policy changes, driving improvement through data analysis, and developing sustainable strategies to attract and retain talent.

What you will do:
- Partner with leaders to align Human Resources practices with business strategy.
- Facilitate leadership development by coaching managers and introducing real-time/relevant local training.
- Analyze data to monitor trends and make data driven recommendations to hire, engage, and retain employees and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Provide counsel and engage leaders on succession planning, talent development, and performance coaching.
- Leverage Human Resources foundation along with knowledge of market best practices, company policies, and legal/regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Support the resolution of employee relations issues and investigations.
- Lead and/or participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualified applicants have:
- Bachelor's degree, focus in HR or Business is preferred
- 7 years of HR experience (Generalist level or above)
- Experience as a strategic partner to senior leaders, while also working effectively with employees at all levels
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and prioritization to deliver objectives
- Collaborative with ability to independently apply sound judgment to solve problems
- Focused on driving results and process improvement through data analysis and project management
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with navigating HRIS systems
