Responsibilities
Rate Lock Management:
- Monitor, manage, and process rate lock requests from loan officers.
- Ensure all rate lock data is accurate and timely within the company’s loan origination system.
- Handle rate lock extensions, relocks, and changes as required.
Pricing & Market Analysis:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and pricing adjustments.
- Collaborate with secondary marketing to distribute rate sheets and pricing updates.
- Provide loan officers with guidance on pricing scenarios and lock policies.
Compliance & Accuracy:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to rate locks.
- Perform regular audits of rate lock data to verify accuracy and mitigate risk.
- Address and resolve pricing discrepancies and issues promptly.
Reporting & Communication:
- Generate and analyze lock desk reports to track performance and identify trends.
- Communicate effectively with loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth processing.
- Provide feedback to improve rate lock procedures and address process inefficiencies.
Support Secondary Marketing:
- Assist the secondary marketing team with pipeline management and pricing strategies.
- Support the preparation of reports for investor relations and market analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in the mortgage industry, in rate lock or secondary marketing.
- Strong understanding of interest rate markets, mortgage products, and pricing.
- Proficiency in loan origination systems and pricing engines.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
