Role Overview

The Closer is responsible for the creation of closing documentation including the initial closing disclosure, change of circumstance closing disclosures and all closing documentation. The Closer is responsible for working with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure on time delivery and accuracy of loan documentation. The Closer will be responsible for balancing the file with title and escrow companies prior to document delivery.

Essential Duties

• Ensure all closing disclosures and closing documents comply with regulatory, agency and investor requirements including: TRID, state requirements, and loan program requirements
• Work with title and escrow companies to ensure the accuracy of the initial closing disclosure to help minimize tolerance cures
• Prepare and disclose change of circumstance closing disclosure as needed throughout the loan process
• Proactively prepare files for anticipated closing dates
• Review files for accuracy prior to drawing closing documents
• Balance the file with title and escrow companies to ensure accuracy of the final closing disclosure and wire amount
• Effectively communicate with all appropriate stakeholders of the loan during the disclosure and doc drawing process
• Manager their own pipeline and let management know of any issues or concerns
• Assist post-closing and the funder as needed for post-closing issues that need resolution.
