Position Summary
The Content Writer will play an integral role in supporting communications that build national visibility for the Levitt Foundation, its programs, initiatives, and grantees. As a member of our communications team, the Content Writer will be an engaging storyteller, creative thinker, and resourceful researcher who will draft a range of written communications for varied target audiences.
Responsibilities
- Share the social and economic impact of Levitt programs through content creation in various formats.
- Generate ideas and write content for blogs, eblasts, web content, research summaries, presentations, and marketing collateral.
- Write, edit, and proofread blog posts on a weekly basis.
- Cultivate sources within the Levitt network to generate unique story ideas.
- Seek out and develop content that inspires audiences to embrace the Levitt mission.
- Stay informed about creative placemaking and related topics to inspire story ideas.
- Develop themes and concepts across creative content to effectively tell the Levitt story.
- Collaborate with colleagues and partners to ensure content integrity across platforms.
- Manage projects involving story development, email marketing, and social media messaging.
- Curate photo / multimedia selections to complement written communications.
- Maintain an up-to-date editorial calendar and ensure deadlines are met.
- Travel approximately 2-4 times annually to Levitt grantee locations for story coverage.
