Job Summary
This position is considered a full-time position in Glen Ullin and will work Monday through Thursday from 7 am to 5:30 pm. In this position, the successful applicant will assist the County Highway Department on a variety of road projects throughout the season.
Responsibilities and Duties
- This position may perform installation, repair, and maintenance activities on County roadways and ditches.
- The successful applicant must also be able to work in the elements while performing work safely and responsibly.
- We are looking for an individual who is committed to protecting and enhancing the current roadway infrastructure within our County.
- Equally important, we need an individual who can courteously serve our constituents in a manner consistent with our Core Values.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
- Possesses or may obtain a Class A license at the time of hire;
- Knowledge of relevant safety practices;
- Knowledge of related tools, machinery, and equipment utilized in road repair activities;
- Capacity to take direction; and
- Strong attention to detail is required.
