SUMMARY
Operates industrial truck or other conveyance apparatus within and between departments, buildings, and yard areas. Collects and delivers a wide variety of materials, including in-process and finished product. Keeps designated work areas supplied with material.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Loads/unloads inbound and outbound trucks. Distributes materials as directed.
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
- Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
- Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
- Preforms pre-operational check of equipment, recharges batteries, and replaces liquefied gas tank.
