Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Accountable for Providing Leadership in Support of the Safety Journey and the Company’s Goal of Achieving an Injury-Free Workplace
- Accountable/Responsible for EHS, MOC, GMP, and Q.C. Compliance
- Accountable/Responsible for meeting business targets in area of responsibility
- Ensures adherence to standard work processes (MEWP), including Integrated Manufacturing System / 21st Century Manufacturing (IMS / 21stCM).
- Establishes and ensures achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Responsible for reviewing the backlog, accepting approved work requests and creating work orders.
- Accountable for developing the job plan for work orders including scope, estimated manpower, parts, services, special tools, equipment, permitting, etc., utilizing the job plan checklist.
- Develops standard work order templates for jobs that are repetitive where they only require planning once/
- Serves as a resource to crafts for job execution
- Ensures EHS, MOC, GMP and Q.C. requirements are considered for each job.
- Responsible for obtaining feedback and improving job plans.
- Responsible for coordinating maintenance MOC process.
- Responsible for requisition of parts and services for planned maintenance activities.
- Responsible for maintaining an accurate maintenance backlog.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the bill of material (BOM) for plant equipment.
- Updates operation status in MEWP to ready to schedule (RTS).
- Responsible for Procedure Development/Documentation
- Responsible for planning repair work as necessary.
- Communication with other departmental supervisors, other departments and vendor representatives
- Utilizes and is subject matter expert for SAP Storeroom functions.
- Delegates receiving and delivery of materials
- Manages Stores inventory and Store Room security system/procedures
- Employee training
- Responsible for storeroom inventory management and controls
- Assists in generation of maintenance plans and tasks list for PM’s and OPI’s
- Performs other related duties, as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
- Five (5) years of experience operating in a maintenance environment preferred
- Scheduling/planning experience preferred
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Possess knowledge of technical information on the unit/area
- Demonstrates background knowledge of operating procedure and process
- Understands maintenance procedures and processes
- Demonstrates working knowledge of MEWP
- Demonstrates working knowledge of overtime procedure
- Understands, in detail, the plant maintenance planning and scheduling process.
- Manufacturing experience
- Supervisory experience leading small teams, as well as experience working as a team
- SAP Experience
Special Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Normal working schedule is day shift, however, flexible schedule and overtime may be required.
- Responds to urgent or emergency situations outside of normal working hours, as needed.
- Works in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time. May perform sustained manual activities at moderate to heavy levels of exertion including lifting and moving loads of a minimum of fifty (50) pounds, climbing ladders/stairs and working on elevated platforms.
- Uses hand tools and operates fixed and mobile plant equipment. Works and travels throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity.
- Wears personal protective equipment, as required and uses full range of motion.
- Works in general office and manufacturing plant environment
