Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Head of ADO to provide leadership and oversee day-to-day operations of Mosaic’s Antibody Discovery and Optimization team
- Design naïve and immune phage/yeast antibody display libraries
- Develop and implement new technologies and methodologies for in vitro antibody discovery platforms, including immune repertoire transfer into display platforms.
- Design, execute, and analyze antibody discovery and optimization campaigns, including NGS analysis and triage of hits from campaigns.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, enhancing cross-functional capabilities between in vitro and in vivo antibody discovery workflows
- Work collaboratively across functional teams to support consultation and troubleshooting efforts and maintain project deadlines
- PhD in Biological/Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related discipline, with 8 years of industry experience
- Demonstrated expertise and hands on experience with in vitro antibody display systems (yeast, phage, mammalian, and/or nucleic acid display)
- Expertise in antibody library design including naïve, structure guided, optimization (affinity, specificity, developability), and humanization
- Experience with bioinformatics analysis and NGS approaches
- Proficiency with tissue harvesting, PBMC isolation, B-cell FACS sorting of immune repertoires is a plus
- A track record of mentoring and managing junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Effective time and resource management skills and enthusiasm for working in a team environment
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple functional groups and external partners with diverse antibody discovery and optimization needs
