Dr. Gregory Olsen is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant to join his dynamic dental team. Our surgical assistants are responsible for assisting doctors in the scheduling, educating, preparation, execution and follow up for patients receiving treatment in the practice. The surgical assistant helps to provide an excellent experience for the patient and helps to drive efficiency and productivity throughout the practice. The surgical assistant also helps to ensure a safe and sterile environment in which to perform treatment.
The Registered Dental Assistant role requires a hard-working individual who can also deliver a comfortable experience for our patients. This role reports to the Owner Doctor. The hourly wage range for this position is $22 - $30 per hour, depending on experience.

What you’ll be accountable for:
- Clinical Support: Efficiently assist doctors chairside during surgical procedures. Prepare and arrange dental instruments, materials, and medications as needed.
- Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort and answering any questions they may have. Obtain and record patient's dental history and vital signs, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, as well as maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
- Radiography: Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as per dentist's instructions. Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety measures are followed.
- Educational Support: Instruct patients on post-operative care.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage patient records, update treatment plans, and assist front office with scheduling patient appointments as needed.

Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00p
Hiring Full time or Part time.
Oral surgery experience preferred. RDA certificate not required, willing to train the right candidate.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration
- Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state
- Highly organized and attentive to patients’ needs
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Must be able to explain procedures and educate patients.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and exhibit a compassionate and caring demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a diverse dental team.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm and professional demeanor.
- 1 years of surgical assisting experience preferred
- OMSA or DAANCE certifications preferred
- WinOms software experience a plus
- DSN software experience a plus
