Job Summary : We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support our accounting team part-time. This role is ideal for individuals who are currently obtaining their degree in accounting or finance, as well as recent graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions. This role will be 20-30 hours per week. Key Responsibilities : Accounts Management : Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions. Help prepare and distribute invoices. Support the reconciliation of bank statements and ledger accounts. Data Entry & Record Keeping : Enter financial data accurately into accounting software and spreadsheets. Maintain organized records and files for financial transactions. Financial Reporting Support : Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes. Compile and verify information for financial reports. General Administrative Support : Provide support during audits and compliance reviews. Assist in preparing expense reports and other ad hoc financial tasks. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency. Qualifications : Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a recent graduate in these areas. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
