Mosaic is seeking a full-time Medical Biller to join our growing team and assist in different areas of billing for our applied behavior analysis service line. The individual must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism to work successfully with staff members, clients, and payors. This individual will be responsible for the submission of and follow-up on claims to insurance companies including commercial payors and Medicaid.
The primary responsibilities of the position include:
· File initial and secondary insurance claims electronically via EMR software.
· Post payments and reconcile claims.
· Research and resolve claim issues/denied claims with payors.
· Proactively manage accounts receivable.
· Investigate and resolve payment recoupment requests.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
Excellent organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience using electronic medical record applications (Central Reach preferred).
Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Excellent interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills
Good organization and time management skills
Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or equivalent G-suite applications (Word, Excel)
A minimum of 2 years of outpatient medical billing experience (prior billing experience in applied behavior analysis a plus)
