Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)

Nurse Practitioners are a critical part of our clinical team. We are actively looking to hire talented licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BC) for full or part-time positions in our Oklahoma City and Weatherford locations that are passionate about patient care and committed to clinical excellence. This position provides direct psychiatric services for our patients. PMHNP's collaborate with counselors, therapists, and other practitioners to support patients during their mental health journey. Under psychiatrist supervision, PMHNP's will create the medication plan while the counselors and therapists assist in providing the highest level of care. Mosaic provides operational support, infrastructure, collaborative team approach and resources to allow practitioners to focus on what they do best, providing exemplary care to our patients. Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Primary Duties Responsibilities, Requirements, Special Skills, or Knowledge:
· Master’s degree/graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
· Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatric Mental Health
· Current unencumbered independent Psychiatric Mental Health license in Oklahoma
- Unrestricted DEA and State Controlled Substances registration
- Consults with the psychiatrist and primary provider on a regular basis to effectively address physical and mental health needs of patients Provides health education and teaches health promotion activities to patients experiencing physical and psychiatric illnesses
- Complete all documentation requirements legibly and within timeframes in electronic medical record according to deadlines/guidelines set forth by payers, regulatory agencies, CARF and Mosaic Policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated history of professional growth and development
- Understanding of population-based medicine
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and social skills.
- Ability to work within a team-oriented, dynamic environment to achieve goals and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute effective time management
- Ability to assimilate, analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations from complex data
- Comfortable with technology; willing and able to learn new software tools
- Experience making decisions in emergencies.
- Experience making quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral
- Participate in the multidisciplinary treatment teams and work collaboratively with other disciplines in planning for the treatment of our patients
- Experience exercising balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, and to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent and equitable manner
- Experience working with limited resource population.
- Experience working as a team, interfacing with patients, consulting psychiatrist and mental health specialists, as well as with administrative and support staff.
- Experience resolving interpersonal conflict in a straightforward and timely manner.
- Experience setting priorities and organizing.
- Experience working in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment.
- Experienced with adult population and/or child and adolescent populations
- Hybrid model (In-person and telehealth)
- Attends and participates in meetings and quality improvement activities as required
- One years of prior work experience a plus, but other experience and new graduates maybe considered.
- Highest level of ethics and integrity
- Maintains core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment
- Experienced in both medication management as well as therapy preferred
- Clinical supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working with a diverse population preferred
- Credentialed with insurance panels preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
