The Moscow Food Co-op seeks full-time Deli and Campus Lead. The Deli/Campus Lead is responsible for assisting the Deli Manager with the operations of the downtown deli service counter and at the Co-op on the UI Campus by coordinating employee productivity and tasks, maintaining quality food standards and department cleanliness while providing excellent and friendly customer service. The position provides direction and delegates tasks to deli servers, assists in training and provides feedback to the Deli Manager when needed. Other duties include promoting deli products through offering samples, making sandwiches and drinks and providing hot, cold, and salad bar food service. The lead position requires a demonstrated ability to provide direction and work well on a team and ability to provide friendly and excellent customer service. Applicants should be personable, level-headed, upbeat and enthusiastic with an ability to interact with a wide range of employees and customers and demonstrate strong leadership skills. Must also be a team player, able to follow instructions, be motivated and self-directed, with an ability to sustain a brisk working pace and stand for 8 hours. Must also have a positive, friendly attitude, be able to work with a wide variety of customers and employees and be punctual and reliable. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and obtain an Idaho Health Department food and safety certification.
This is a full-time (38-40 hrs) position. Shifts include early mornings starting at 5am and/or closing shifts until 9:30pm. Days vary, Weekends required. Applicant must have open availability and be available to work during university breaks include summer and holidays. Applicants that can commit for 2 years will be given hiring preference.
