Communication System Integration and Test Architect

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

68.93-$73.93 / Hour

This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities :

Lead the definition, development, and execution of integration and test plans for a live communication system that provides warfighters with advanced cellular phone-like services, ensuring high-quality communication and enhanced capacity over current systems.
Define, develop, and sustain system-level integration and test plans for communication systems.
Lead the execution of system-level integration, regression, and verification testing, ensuring requirements compliance.
Coordinate and integrate system elements from multiple contractors and / or government agencies.
Recommend and implement improvements to test processes, tools, and environments.
Apply model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques to develop and interpret test plans.
Utilize CI / CD pipelines to execute end-to-end system integration and testing.
Support large-scale ground communication systems for cellular or satellite networks, focusing on end-to-end functionality and performance.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics required; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience : 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a master’s degree.

Clearance Requirement : Active or recent Secret Clearance required.

Proven expertise in system-level integration and test planning, execution, and verification.

Experience leading system engineering and integration / test (SEIT) teams, managing the entire system test lifecycle.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines in relation to system-level testing and verification.

Knowledge of ground communication systems, including cellular or satellite communications.

Experience working with multiple development teams and government stakeholders.

Proficiency in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and its application to testing frameworks.

Expertise in communication system end-to-end functional test planning and execution, including 3G / 5G systems and large-scale network management.

Preferred Skills :

Leadership experience with large-scale voice and data communication system integration and testing.

Integration and test experience with satellite or cellular communication ground systems.

Success implementing improvements to integration and test processes and environments.
