Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and convey materials within the facility, ensuring proper handling and placement for shipping and receiving operations.
- Open containers, count and weigh materials, and record relevant information.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, electric dollies, hand trucks, and power hoists to transport materials.
- Crate and pack materials following operational procedures and packing op sheets.
- Assist machine operators by lifting heavy objects manually or with equipment.
- Support shipping operations by loading/unloading trucks and organizing materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and conveyors.
- Must be available for overtime as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent (no advanced degree required).
- 2 years of shipping experience, including familiarity with crating and packing procedures.
- Proficient in using hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws.
- Experience in a shipping department or related role preferred.
