Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement FPGA-based solutions for advanced Cyber/EW applications.
- Conduct research and development (R&D), prototyping, and system integration to support mission-critical defense projects.
- Develop and optimize digital logic designs using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog (C is a bonus).
- Work closely with hardware engineers, embedded software developers, and RF engineers to integrate FPGA designs into embedded systems.
- Perform simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and verification of FPGA designs.
- Develop testbenches and validate designs using industry-standard simulation tools.
- Optimize FPGA resource utilization and power consumption for performance efficiency.
- Ensure seamless integration and fielding of FPGA-based military technology and systems.
- Work on mission-critical defense technology supporting Cyber/EW programs.
- Hybrid flexibility depending on client approval (Primary work location: Aberdeen Proving Ground).
- U.S. Citizen with active U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Bachelor degree and 10 years of FPGA design and development experience
- Thorough understanding and at least 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in: Engineering Research & Development (R&D), Prototyping, Integration, Testing, and Fielding of military technology and systems in Cyber/EW programs.
- Proficient in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
- Experience with FPGA development tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, ModelSim).
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for hardware integration.
- Knowledge of RF communications and signal processing is a plus.
