Do you have 2 years of experience with AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ-10? We have positions for you. The work will be 100% on-site. This is for a DoD facility an there is not an option for C2C work.
Years of experience accepted in place of BS/MS!!
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key contributor in the design, development, integration, and sustainment of the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) and Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator (MTWS) for U.S. and allied submarine platforms.
- Collaborate with CWL and MTWS engineers to conduct system testing, integration, and validation.
- Develop, analyze, and document test cases and procedures based on system requirements and design documentation.
- Perform installations, removals, verification, and troubleshooting of tactical systems in lab and shipboard environments.
- Execute Verification and Validation (V&V) testing for corrective changes, ensuring high-quality performance.
- Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters to evaluate system functionality.
- Identify, analyze, and document software, firmware, and hardware defects and support engineering teams in root cause analysis and resolution.
- Assist in configuring laboratory systems using drawings and port maps.
- Participate in formal and informal testing events, customer-driven evaluations, and field support at submarine home ports.
- Contribute to the creation of installation and operational procedures alongside the Logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience or a Master's degree in a related discipline.
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience with at least one of the following systems: AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ-10.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in software testing, analysis, and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming and system processes.
- General knowledge of network configurations and system commands.
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to develop, analyze, and document comprehensive test plans.
- Solid understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and methods.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to submarine home ports for field support.
- Navy or submarine experience strongly preferred.
