IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our team at Moses Auto Group. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dealership’s technology systems and infrastructure. You will provide technical support to all dealership staff, manage IT equipment and software, and work to resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Support
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for dealership staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Respond to service requests, ensuring that all technical issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Manage dealership-specific applications and systems, ensuring they function properly for all employees.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, ensuring reliable internet and internal network access.
• System Maintenance and Updates
  • Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades for software, operating systems, and dealership systems.
  • Ensure all systems and equipment are secured and protected from potential cyber threats, including maintaining up-to-date antivirus programs and security software.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of the dealership’s IT infrastructure, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact business operations.
• User Training and Support
  • Train dealership employees on the proper use of systems, software, and hardware.
  • Create and maintain user guides and documentation for dealership staff.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees by setting up their IT equipment and providing training on dealership systems.
• Inventory Management
  • Manage inventory of IT equipment, ensuring proper tracking, and timely replacement of outdated or malfunctioning devices.
  • Maintain a record of all IT equipment and software licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
• Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with dealership management to identify technology needs and recommend solutions to enhance business operations.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers for IT-related services and hardware purchases.

IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES THESE ATTRIBUTES:

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in an automotive dealership or similar industry.
• Experience with dealership management software (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Dealertrack) is a plus.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (PCs, printers, mobile devices) and software (Windows OS, MS Office Suite, and other dealership applications).
• Familiarity with networking protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data protection measures.
• Ability to manage Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and user account management.
