Music Instructor

The Moshannon Valley YMCA is currently accepting applications for part-time Music Instructors – Piano and Guitar-to lead and coordinate individual or group music lessons for youth and adults. Instructors will schedule lessons on a weekly basis during days/times that suit participants.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and lead music lessons.
• Set up and monitor class equipment, ensuring it is in serviceable condition.
• Track progress and maintain participant files as needed.
• Distribute appropriate information to participants and answer questions after each session; follow-up communication as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Extensive knowledge of the musical instrument (piano or drum) that lessons are being provided for.
• Ability to teach and instruct participants using appropriate music-related teaching methods – prior experience giving lessons is helpful.

Salary/Benefits

• $20.00 per hour.
