What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mosquito Control Technician position at Mosquito Authority?
Specialists conduct inspections of private property, applying pesticides, and educating customers on source reduction methods and pesticide application. Specialists must be able to provide excellent customer service and possess excellent communication skills. Specialists are trained to follow all state and federal laws and regulations. The Specialists are under the direct supervision of the Lead Mosquito Control Specialist and works with the office manager and staff.
Knowledge:
Must have adequate written and verbal English communication ability.
Must hold a valid driver's license.
Have beginner knowledge of pesticide regulations and requirements.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills to speak with coworkers, customers, and other business professionals.
Ability to earn an Apprentice Certification with La Dept of Ag within 21 Days of Hire.
Ability to travel to customer locations.
Ability to work outdoors in the elements
Ability to lift and carry 50-75lbs back pack blowers during scheduled work hours.

Responsibilities
- Apply pesticides and other treatments to control mosquito populations and other pests, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and educating them on pest control methods.
- Maintain accurate records of pesticide applications and customer interactions.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize service delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Drive to various locations to perform pest control services as required.
