Mosquito Joe provides services to make outside fun again for our customers. We provide mosquito control services to residential and commercial customers, eliminating outdoor pests such as mosquitoes, ticks, gnats and fleas. Our Mosquito Technicians are trained mosquito control experts who travel to customer homes to apply barrier spray solutions that keep their yard mosquito-free.
The Mosquito Joe Technician is a seasonal position, typically from April - October. The number of hours worked per week varies depending on customer demand and weather, as well as technician preference. We are seeking technicians to work part-time and on an as-needed basis. College students are encouraged to apply and may work a shorter season.
Technicians provide yard treatments to ensure that the customer’s property is being serviced according to Mosquito Joe policies and procedures. They are knowledgeable of all Mosquito Joe services and policies and fully communicate to customers the expectations, procedures and follow all applicable laws.
You will be required to complete 48 hours of training to become an Apprentice as per NY law. Paid training will be provided.
Our technicians love the job as they spend every day outside, work in a great environment, meet some very nice people, and perform a job that improves people’s lives. You will be driving the awesome Mosquito Joe branded vehicle provided by our office. Most days, our technicians work together as a team, but some days, a technician is solo in the vehicle. You never have to worry about mosquitoes and ticks again, as all employees get their home treated for free.

Expectations
· You will be able to explain to customers, service procedures and expectations
· Inspect and treat for mosquitoes, ticks, etc. at customer locations
· Handle pesticides in a safe manner in accordance with state and federal regulations
· Complete pesticide certification requirements
· Maintain clean and organized service vehicle
· Maintain excellent customer relations as a representative of the MoJo brand
· Take personal initiative and responsibility for correcting any issues
· Ability to do simple calculations/measurements and maintain chemical records according to NYS requirements
· Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
· Willingness to market the business
Requirements
· Valid driver’s license with clean record
· High School diploma/GED
· Comfortable driving to customer locations aided by GPS
· Must possess a great attitude and be dependable
· Works well independently and as part of a team
· Must be customer service oriented with excellent communication skills
· Detail oriented
· Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
· Have basic computer knowledge for mandatory state recording
· Ability to walk customer property locations while carrying a 65-pound backpack blower throughout the day
