Summary
A member of the Moss Creek Wellness and Fitness professional staff embodies the heart of our community's wellness program, dedicated to delivering a positively memorable experience for all members and guests. This position requires a dynamic and motivated Wellness and Fitness professional as part of an exceptional team. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations of the fitness center, with additional responsibilities of managing MCOA’s pool complex from May through August. The ideal candidate will enjoy working indoors and outdoors working with the Wellness and Fitness team to ensure a welcoming, fun, safe, and efficient environment for both our members and staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the fitness center, ensuring high standards of customer service and facility maintenance.
- Supervise the pool complex during the summer months, including staff scheduling, pool safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement programs that improve the fitness center experience for members and drive membership growth.
- Handle administrative duties, such as membership management, FC & Pool staff training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Wellness and Fitness Director to create and maintain budgets for both the fitness center and pool operations.
- Resolve member issues and complaints in a professional manner.
- Ensure all fitness and pool equipment are maintained and functioning safely.
- Promote and market the fitness center and pool, coordinating special events and activities to enhance member engagement.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in fitness center management or a similar role, with prior pool management experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask and handle a variety of responsibilities efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Physically fit to perform maintenance duties and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail.
- Understanding of health and safety rules in Fitness Center (FC) and Pool deck.
- Member oriented approach
- Present a positive and professional image.
- Ability to make good decisions and follows company policies in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with all staff.
- Ability to carry heavy items and stand for long periods of time
- Able to perform high quality work, even while unsupervised.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Position will be required to work a set schedule. You are part of a team who will ensure you have support and the ability to cover your time off.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of fitness center management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications; Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is highly desirable.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
