POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss' Assistant Project Accountant performs a wide variety of accounting tasks and administrative support to assist the Project Accountants. The role will require helping the office staff with specific assignments, as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Miscellaneous invoices processing
Scan, code, and enter miscellaneous. invoices for payment
Prepare American Express and Visa expense reports
Process credit cards
Enter workflow and submit for approval to designated project accountant, project team, and departments
Assist in monthly owner billing
Prepare monthly owner billing backup, as needed
Set up and maintain electronic job files, if required
Assist with project closeout procedures
Collect and submit insurance certificates for Ebix review
Address contract compliance discrepancies by generating and analyzing non-compliance reports
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of accounting experience in construction are required
A strong work ethic with an emphasis on attention to details
Willingness to be a team player with a client service attitude
Must be detail-oriented, able to multitask and problem solve and follow through to resolution
Must have the ability to work in a high-volume, heavy deadline-driven environment
Must demonstrate experience performing functions efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision
Should have the ability to develop and maintain a positive effective working relationship with subcontractors, vendors, co-workers, and managers
Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
