The technician repairs and/or replaces damaged vehicle body parts according to dealership and factory standards, policies and specifications.

The Body Shop Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly and Flag Rate Compensation of between $20.00 and $31.00, plus a productivity bonus equivalent up to a maximum hourly rate of $55.00 per hour based on individual performance.

Responsibilities Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform work as outlined on repair estimates with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Tear-down and inspect for additional or hidden repairs.

Advise body shop estimator of additional damage or supplemental needs or if repairs will not be completed on time.

Road test vehicles to ensure quality repair.

Supervise work of any apprentice technicians.

Keep shop area neat and clean.

Wear eye, ear and back protection when appropriate.

Understand and follow Federal, State and Local regulations, such as those governing the storage and disposal of hazardous materials.

Maintain I-car or ASE certifications
Qualifications
-
Education and/or experience in body repair.

Appears for work on time, dressed appropriately and ready to work.

Interacts effectively with co-workers.

Great attitude with a high-energy personality

Ability to read and comprehend instructions

Ability to exercise good judgment

Valid CA drivers license and good driving record

Technical or trade school degree preferred

A high school diploma or the equivalent
