Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician with experience in electrical work to join our team. This role involves performing general maintenance tasks, troubleshooting electrical systems, and ensuring the safety and functionality of our facilities. The position is available for both full-time and part-time candidates, depending on availability and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

General Maintenance Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC system checks.
• Inspect and maintain building systems to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential problems.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Electrical Work Duties:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and fixtures.
• Install and replace electrical components such as switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with external contractors or electricians for complex electrical projects, if needed.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in electrical work is a plus.
• Proven experience in maintenance and electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working in confined spaces.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if travel between locations is required).

Work Schedule:

• Full-time or part-time hours, depending on candidate availability and business needs.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts may be required.
