Marketing and Admissions Coordinator

A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've provided spiritually motived care for the elderly of Columbus for over 65 years. We are seeking to hire a Full-Time Marketing and Admissions Coordinator.
Marketing and Admissions Coordinator Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
- Experience in marketing and building referral relationships, preferably within the hospital/physician/nursing home environment.
- Must have sound knowledge of Federal and State regulations, Medicaid, Medicare, and managed care requirements related to admissions.
- Knowledge and ability to use designated software
Marketing and Admissions Coordinator Job Summary:
- Implement an individual sales strategy to achieve census and occupancy goals.
- Coordinates with the System VP of Business Development and Community Relations.
- Provide weekly documentation of the monthly marketing calendar/plan of execution.
- Schedule routine activities/events with identified referral partners/sources and report results.
- Provide written/oral reports to the Administrator, Board of Directors, and System VP of Business Development and Community Relations.
- Identify opportunities for additional partnerships with entities such as physicians, community-based agencies, hospitals, hospices, etc.
- Utilize a customer retention management system to establish accounts and contact information.
Cross-train on all Admissions duties which include tasks such as :
- Maintain accurate records of bed availability, resident census, names, and room numbers, pending discharges and bedholds.
- Obtain all necessary documents for admission prior to admission including Level 1 PASRR, application, financial disclosure, discharge paperwork, etc.
- Greet the resident at the door, explain all pertinent home details and escort them to their room.
