Seasonal Server

Who we are... Hi, we’re Mother Pizzeria, the same team behind Giusto in Newport! We are a pizzeria, gelateria and bar in a prime Newport location and are looking to add to our team this summer. We operate with passion and creativity for the industry and respect for each other. Our menu features sourdough pizza made from stoneground flour, homemade gelato, cured meats and local cheeses, natural wines and Italian-inspired cocktails.

What we do… We offer excellent hospitality and service to our guests and make it our priority as a restaurant to take care of our team. We work cohesively every day as a team in a fast-paced and positive environment. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a young, energetic restaurant in downtown Newport at the height of the season. You must have…

• 1 year of working as a server in a fast paced dining experience.
• Two work references no more than 2 years old
• The ability to execute genuine, professional, and friendly hospitality
• The ability to work as part of a team in a tip-pooled environment
• A basic understanding of wine, spirits, and craft beer.
• A basic understanding of food preparations and ingredients
• Weekend availability is a must
• A polished appearance and good hygiene practices are a must but we also encourage you to come as you are and be yourself. Individuality is respected and encouraged
• Respect to work amongst a staff with diversity and a passion for hospitality
• Dependability and a strong work ethic
• TIPS certification
• Reliable transportation or utilize parking options that are available to you downtown

It would be cool if…

• You have experience with Italian wines and spirits
• You like working in a high-volume work environment
• Take your previous experience and abilities to the next level with us
• You have some knowledge about Newport and surrounding areas.
• You have some knowledge of food related allergies
