The Lobeck Taylor Operating Foundation (LTOF) is an operating foundation funded by the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation (LTFF). LTOF programs include Mother Road Market, Kitchen 66, Shops at Mother Road Market, and Tulsa Startup Series. LTFF performs complementary grantmaking work to LTOF’s programs, which increase economic activity and the equitable growth and development of 11th Street between Xanthus Ave. and Birmingham Ave. and surrounding neighborhoods in Tulsa.

The Cocktail Server is a non-exempt, hourly position. The starting compensation is $9.00/hour (plus tips). The Cocktail Server shifts will be Friday evenings, split shift on Saturdays, some Sunday brunches, and events as needed. This position also qualifies for a telephone stipend of $30 per month and a meal stipend up to $80 per month. This position reports to the General Manager.

The Cocktail Server will provide timely, accurate and friendly service of our WEL Bar beverages. This position is responsible for speaking with customers, taking drink orders, making recommendations, processing payments, and ensuring that customers’ needs are met and they have an excellent experience. Each Cocktail Server’s primary objective is to provide our guests such an enjoyable experience that they will want to return to continue supporting local food and beverages in Tulsa. This position is expected to assist guests with questions about food and retail offerings and be knowledgeable about our company's history, features, upcoming events and specialties. The cocktail server may serve as back-up bartender or bar back during certain shifts and is eligible to pick-up bartending shifts when available and approved by the Lead Bartender or General Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must exhibit excellent customer service even during peak hours with high volume. This position will be the face of Mother Road Market and must make the guest experience the top priority.
• May assist in maintaining a stocked bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws during your shift.
• May assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies for the shift as needed.
• Take orders, deliver drinks, and process payments.
• Responsible for learning POS system(s) to enter customer orders, track inventory and account for sales and discounts accurately and honestly.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas where cocktail service is provided.
• Responsible for safe handling of alcohol items from the WEL Bar and adhering to all ABLE rules and regulations.
• Checking proper identification of customers to ensure proper age to purchase alcoholic beverages.
• This position requires a good attitude and willingness to be a part of a team to ensure that the work culture behind the bar stays positive and constructive.
• Responsible for knowing and adhering to food handling standards and company safety and cleaning protocols, keeping highest standards to clean and sanitize hands, work station and high-touch surfaces.
• Must have strong communication skills, be able to multitask, follow directions and be able to work effectively on a team.
• Must be punctual, reliable and willing to jump in and help wherever needed.
• Must be self-sufficient and capable of problem solving.
• Assist bartenders with additional tasks as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Lead Bartender or General Manager, manager on duty and bartender.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have availability on Friday 5:30pm - 9pm, Saturday 11:45am - 2pm / 5:30pm - 9pm, and occasional Sunday 11:45am - 2pm, special events as needed
• At Least 1 year prior cocktail serving or bartending experience, preferred
• Tulsa Health Department Food Handler Permit, required.
• ABLE License with proof of ACE Training or equivalent, required.
• Due to ABLE regulations, this position must be 21 years or older to perform necessary job functions.
• Must be able to traverse a large space quickly, navigating through doors and on stairs while items related to role.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
• Strong working knowledge of local beer, wine and cocktails, preferred.
• Experience with Toast (POS), preferred
• Required to work night and weekend shifts and some holiday hours as well.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
